ROCHESTER - Eileen F. Croft, loving wife of Joseph A. Croft, died peacefully at Hyder Family Hospice House (Dover, N.H.), on Thursday, October 4, 2018, age 86. Eileen was born on July 9, 1932, the daughter of Lester Baker and Ella (Baker) Murray of Beverly, Mass.
Eileen and Joe enjoyed a marriage of 60 years, with this loving relationship came six children. The family resided in Massachusetts, later moved to New Hampshire. Eileen was a member of the Loyal Order of the Women of the Moose and became "Senior Regent." She had a passion for crocheting, collecting elephants, and making jewelry. Eileen was known and loved for her wonderful sense of humor, punctuated by her quick wit and snappy comebacks. She often donated items to Bethany United Methodist Church (E. Rochester), attended many church social events and contributed to charities. Eileen loved country and "old pop" music as well as dancing. Eileen had a long career at Davidson Rubber and retired after 20 years.
Eileen, also known as "Ma", "Nana" and "Great Nana.", was a loving wife, mother, aunt, adoring grandmother and great-grandmother to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eileen is predeceased by her son Kevin Croft, her brother Daniel Murray, and her treasured cousin Maureen Bronder.
She is survived by her sisters Mary Murray and Kate Todd; her son Joseph and his wife Nathalie; her son Charles and his wife Elizabeth; daughter Andrea and her husband Timothy; daughter Brigette and her husband Nathan; son Sean; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many cousins.
