Elderly couple seriously injured in crash on Route 202

LEBANON - Two motorists were injured on Tuesday evening when their vehicle crashed into woods near the intersection of Route 202 and Center and Long Swamp roads.

According to Lebanon Fire and EMS, a witness on scene said the vehicle swerved multiple times before eventually driving off the road.

One of the occupants inside the vehicle was able to activate a medical alert pendant which transmitted medical information to dispatch, a post on the department's Facebook page noted.

An elderly couple was found inside the vehicle. Both Lebanon Ambulances were used to transport the two, who both suffered significant injuries, according to Lebanon Fire and EMS.

State Police were not immediately available for further comment.

The hometown and names of the injured couple have not been released.
