Elderly Rochester woman hurt when hit by car

ROCHESTER - An elderly Rochester woman crossing the street was struck by a car Wednesday evening, but officials say she appears to be OK and suffered only minor injuries.

Patricia Quigley, 64, was crossing Dreyer Way near Columbus Avenue when the incident occurred around 5:40 p.m.

According to a police press release issued late Wednesday night, a 2014 Toyota Camry being driven by Sean Morales, 35, of Rochester, was turning left onto Dreyer Way from Columbus Avenue when Quigley was hit.

Quigley was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for treatment of what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police said there will be no charges stemming from the incident.
