CONCORD - In preparation for the Sept. 13 primaries, the Secretary of State's Office will host training sessions for local election officials throughout August.
The sessions, open to moderators, clerks, selectmen, supervisors of the checklist and inspectors of election (ballot clerks), provide a detailed overview of election law and a step-by-step breakdown of the processes carried out by election officials before, during, and after state elections. The sessions are open to election officials only and will take place in Atkinson, Campton, Colebrook, Conway, Gorham, Haverhill, Keene, Manchester, Newport, Portsmouth, Rindge, and Wolfeboro.
On-demand training webinars will also be made available by the Secretary of State's Office for election officials who are not able to make the in-person trainings or who would like to refresh their knowledge closer to the election.
