ROCHESTER - Elizabeth A. Hendry, 77, of Rochester, formerly of Portsmouth, died on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022. She was born in Long Island, N.Y. on June 9, 1945 a daughter of William and Elizabeth (Mines) Anderson.

Raised throughout the New Hampshire Seacoast, she graduated from Portsmouth High School. She went on to first work as a switchboard operator for the Bell Telephone Company and as a bus driver for Berry's Transportation before starting her career working for the state of New Hampshire.

Elizabeth enjoyed her many pets, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.

Surviving family members include her sons, Matthew Hendry and his wife Trisha of Sanford, Maine and Peter Hendry of Hampton; sister, Robin Berounsky and her husband Michael of Newington; brothers, Jake Anderson of Hampton, William Anderson and his wife Verle of Hampton and Jim Anderson and his wife Sue of Kittery Point, Maine; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jean Rayburn.
