ROCHESTER - Ellen D. (Benner) Ryder, age 60, of 139 Chestnut Hill Road in Rochester, passed away at home on Aug. 11, 2015.
Born in Rochester on July 25, 1955, the daughter of Wilson and Phyllis Benner, she grew up in New Durham and Farmington, a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1974.
She worked at the Farmer's Kitchen in Farmington for four years and made many friends during this time.
Ellen loved going to NASCAR races, a big Tony Stewart fan. She loved spending time with friends and family, always on the go. She was outgoing, always smiling and could put a smile on anyone's face.
A thank you to her close friends: Chrissy Sinclair, Anne Lepene and Donna Tarmey, for taking care of her during her final days at home. It meant a lot to all of us.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Dale Ryder; her two daughters Rebecca Ebare and husband, Robert Ebare, Jr., and Tiffany Ryder; her two step-daughters Kimberly and husband, Shawn Myers, and Stacey Ryder; her four brothers Richard and wife. Sara Benner, Ronald Benner, Robert Benner, Patrick and wife, Sandra Benner; seven grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Wilson and Phyllis Benner.
Ellen also had many friends whom she loved like family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
