ROCHESTER - An Epsom man was arrested on Thursday on simple assault, criminal threatening and weapons charges after an afternoon incident at a Rochester motel.
According to a police activity log released on Friday, the suspect became involved in a verbal altercation with an Anchorage Motor Inn employee who told them they could not operate a motorized scooter in the motel parking lot.

The log further indicated that the suspect was uncooperative at the time of his arrest.

Tyler J. Kraytenberg, 29, of 1088 Dover Road, Epsom, was charged with resisting arrest, three counts of simple assault/physical contact, criminal threatening and carrying or selling weapons.
He was arraigned by video on Friday from Strafford County Jail, where he remains without bail.
The charge of carry/selling weapons applies to blackjack, slungshot (not slingshot) or metallic knuckles, according to Section 159:16 of the New Hampshire Public Safety and Welfare law Title XII.
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary describes a slungshot as a "a striking weapon consisting of a small mass of metal or stone fixed on a flexible handle or strap."
