PORT ORANGE, Florida - Eunice E. Cassily, 88, died in Port Orange on Friday, August 5, 2016. Eunice was born in Lowell, Mass., to Frank and Elsa (Reslow) Firth on Nov 22, 1927.
She graduated from Dover High School in 1946. She was married to the late Francis (Gene) Cassily. They resided in Dover and Rochester, N.H., and raised five children.
In the 1960s Eunice and Gene built and were owner/operators of the A&W Root Beer Stand (now Weathervane) on Dover Point Rd. In the 1970s early 1980s they built, and owned/operated the Princess Dairy Bar (formerly Golick's and most recently Cowlicks). In the 1980s they retired and moved to Port Orange, Fla.
Eunice is survived by her brother, Frank Herbert Firth of Inverness, Fla.; children, Paul Cassily and wife Marilyn of Port Orange, Fla., Ellen Roy and husband George of Ormond Beach, Fla., Sharon Cassily of Newburyport, Mass., Brian Cassily and wife Debbie of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Kevin Cassily of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
