CONCORD - Gov. Chris Sununu today signed an executive order extending the effective period for Executive Order 2017-03, which allows physicians and physician assistants at Manchester's Veterans Affairs Medical Center to continue to provide medical care to VA patients outside of the Manchester VA facility.

Executive Order 2017-03 - which was set to expire on Wednesday, has now been extended for an additional 240 days, or until the effective date of any legislation which makes the provisions of Executive Order 2017-03 permanent, whichever occurs first.

"The state of New Hampshire is committed to delivering results for New Hampshire's veterans," said Governor Sununu. "While we are working diligently to ensure that permanent legislation is enacted, this executive order provides for a continuum of services for our veterans, and we will stop at nothing to deliver the best care. Period."
