Farmington man dies after being struck by car while crossing Main Street

FARMINGTON - The Farmington Police Department today identified the pedestrian killed on Wednesday when he was struck by a car while crossing Main Street.

Edward Cameron, 60, was struck by a Volkswagen Jetta on Main Street in the area of Garfield Street around 6:25 p.m..
Cameron was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The area of the accident was shut down to traffic for about an hour and a half.
Farmington Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Capt. Evan Favorite at 755.2731, Ext. 4.

The investigation into the accident is active and ongoing, police say.
