ROCHESTER - A Farmington, N.H., man is behind bars today after police seized his vehicle earlier this month and found drugs and money inside after a search warrant was granted.

The series of events that ended in the arrest of Andrew Clement, 33, of 299 Camelot Shores Drive, began on Sept. 19 when Rochester Police received a call of a suspicious vehicle at the Splash & Dash car wash on Milton Road. It was reported that a male operator was slumped over the wheel.

When officers arrived they made contact with Clement who was driving a 2010 Mercedes-Benz, and as a result of an investigation, the car was impounded.

Narcotics, drug paraphernalia and money were found inside the car.

Arrest warrants were then issued for Clement on Thursday for two felony counts of possession of controlled narcotic drugs, possession of controlled/narcotic with intent to distribute, felony contempt, as he was out on bail at the time of the arrest, and misdemeanor transportation of drugs.

Clement was arrested on the charges Saturday during a traffic stop during which he was charged with two more counts of felony drug possession.

Clement was held over the weekend and arraigned Monday where he was on $50,000 cash bail. He remains at the Strafford County House of Corrections.
