ROCHESTER - The City of Rochester will be flushing fire hydrants beginning today nd continuing till June 30. Most flushing will be scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

As a result of flushing, some slight discoloration may be noticed in your water, according to public works officials. If discoloration occurs, it may clear up if you run your cold water tap for several minutes.

Customers may also experience low water pressure while flushing is in progress and are urged to check their water for these issues before bathing or doing laundry.

If residents have any questions or concerns, or if discoloration will not clear, please contact the Rochester Public Works Department during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at (603) 332-4096.
