Fire Marshal's Office probe seeks cause of two deaths at Sutton fire scene

SUTTON - An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death of two individuals found in a burned residence in Sutton is scheduled for Wednesday.

The bodies were found when firefighters and police responded to a fire at 13 Brown Road North in Sutton on Sunday around 8:30 p.m.

When the fire department arrived, they found the single-family structure to be fully involved. After the fire was extinguished, two deceased victims were found inside the house, according to a statement sent from the state Fire Marshal's Office on Monday.

The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is active and ongoing by members of the State Fire Marshal's Office, State Police and the Sutton Fire and Police Departments.
