WOLFEBORO - A New Hampshire Fish and Game Wildlife Biologist and Turkey Project leader will give a presentation on all things "turkey" at the Trenta Restaurant in Wolfeboro from 4-7 p.m. on April 14.
Dan Ellingwood, who is giving the talk grew up in Hancock and earned his bachelor's degreenn Natural resources from the University of Connecticut in 2014. He added a bachelor's in wildlife biology from the University of New Hampshire in 2018.
From 2018 to 2024, he worked for a private, non‑profit conservation organization focused on ungulate research and management. Since January 2025, he has served as the Turkey Project Leader for NH Fish & Game's Wildlife Division.
Dllingwood's presentation will provide an overview of wild turkey ecology, a history of wild turkeys in New Hampshire, turkey management and population monitoring techniques, and an update on the turkey research project that is now under way.
Light refreshments, coffee, and tea will be provided.
