ROCHESTER - Police say five youth ranging in age from 15 to 21 were injured, some seriously, in a single car crash this morning on Old Dover Road.

The accident occurred around 5:25 a.m. in the area of Briar Ridge Estates.

When first responders arrived they located a 2005 Cadillac CTS that had sustained heavy damage and appeared to have rolled over before coming to rest upright on all four wheels. It was found off the side of the road and into a wooded area.

Emergency personnel learned there were six occupants in the vehicle, five of which were transported to the hospital with various injuries, some of which were serious.

One occupant was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, three to Wentworth Douglas and another to Portsmouth Regional with injuries serious enough they were later flown to Boston.

The Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team responded to assist with an investigation, which closed the road for about five hours. It is now open.

Police believe the vehicle was traveling south on Old Dover before losing control, rolling over and coming to rest.

Police are not releasing the names of those involved at this point while attempts to notify family of those involved are made. The potential cause of the accident, extent of occupant injuries and other details are still being actively investigated at this time.
