MILTON - Florence H. Gaydos, 99, of Milton, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Rochester Manor. Born June 13, 1919, in Perth Amboy, N.J.; a daughter of Ernest and Florence (Peltier) Henry.
She was raised and had lived in the Woodbridge section of New Jersey for many years, moving to Oregon for a short time and most recently residing in Milton for over 45 years.
Florence had owned and operated the Golden Scale Convenience Store in Milton for 10 years, prior to this she had worked at many supermarkets and retail stores to include Woolworths and also had worked as a seamstress for many years.
She enjoyed living on Milton Three Ponds, a great cook, she was an avid reader.
Survived by her special friends, Betty A. Lloyd and Mary L. Bew both of Brigantine, N.J.; four grandchildren, Kelly E. (Gaydos) Stuart, Darrin, Christopher and Shawna; three great-great grandchildren; one son Wayne Gaydos of Oregon; one niece; and one nephew. Predeceased by her husband John W. Gaydos Sr., son, John W. Gaydos Jr., and a sister "Skip" Lawrence.
