Just like neurologists urge people to enjoy new and different experiences in travel, recreation and social realms to build new synapses in the brain, we believe trying new culinary creations to be helpful along the same lines.
So someone who always eats eggs and toast for breakfast, a cheeseburger for lunch and spaghetti for dinner is missing out, not only on the many difference cuisines that are available, but also by not widening their horizons and thereby, building synapses, which help our brains to function better.
So in the spirit of a fun, occasional addition to The Rochester Voice, we launched our recipe challenge within our Wine and Dine section about two weeks ago.
Problem is no one sent one of their fav recipes in to us.
So we're going to sweeten the pot. Everyone who sends a recipe in - that we publish - will be entered into a contest to win a year's subscription in The Voice. That's a $75 value. We'll give one out every three months.
The alternative is that I will have to write all the recipes and I eat the same thing every day.
Oh! Wait a minute, I said that's not good.
Well, I'm gonna start eating more varied foods for my own good I guess.
