DOVER - A former Milton woman faces life in prison after her indictment on fentanyl trafficking charges.

Nicole Perry, 21, formerly of 139 Felker Drive but now living at 278 Long Swamp Road, Berwick, is charged with trafficking of the deadly synthetic opioid in connection with a Dec. 20 incident in Dover.

Perry had in her possession at the time more than five grams of fentanyl, according to court documents, and faces the enhanced penalty of possible life improvement, having been already convicted of a similar offense in Rockingham County Superior Court in October 2016.

She could also be hit with up to a $500,000 fine.

Perry was also indicted in November 2015 on three counts of organized retail crime enterprise when she is alleged to have tried to procure gift card credit for items stolen from the Rochester Walmart. In that case a separate individual had allegedly stolen the items.

The Strafford County March indictments here handed down March 15 and released Wednesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
