Four local residents nabbed at Port City sobriety checkpont

PORTSMOUTH - Three area residents were arrested for drunken driving and a fourth on drug possession charges during a sobriety checkpoint on the Spaulding in Portsmouth on Friday.

The checkpoint, which was announced in advance, was conducted by New Hampshire State Police Troop-A.

During the checkpoint, a total of 401 vehicles were stopped and screened. Those arrested were

Nicholas Hogan, 25, Rochester NH: DWI
Thomas Obrey, 46, Barrington NH: DWI
Tracey Carignan, 45, Farmington NH: DWI
Ethan Chierepko 19 Dover, NH: Poss. of Controlled Drug, Trans. of Alcohol by a Minor.
All those charged with DWI are scheduled to appear in the 10th Circuit Court-Portsmouth Division on Aug 22 at 8 a.m.
