Four nabbed for DWIs over New Year's Eve holiday

ROCHESTER - Despite announcements that law enforcement would be out in force keeping an eye on drunken drivers on New Year’s Eve, several revelers decided to run the gauntlet nonetheless and ended up ringing in the new year with a DWI.

Rochester Police arrested four drunken drivers in all between Tuesday and Wednesday, including one from Rochester.

Vincent J. Flynn III, 41, of 63 Central St., Farmington, was nabbed on Tuesday as a result of a traffic stop.  

He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned later this month at the 7^th Circuit District Division Rochester Court.       

Also on New Year’s Eve, Francis Sheehan, 54, of 8 Kennedy Ave., Rochester, was charged with a DWI as a result of a traffic stop.  

Sheehan also was released on $1,500 personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned later this month.

Then early today, Jerry Martins, 31, of Farmington, N.H., was charged with DWI as officers were checking on a suspicious vehicle at the North Main Street Cumberland Farms.  

Martins was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned later this month.

Finally, Kenneth Samuelson, 63, of Shapleigh, Maine, got a DWI today as a result of a traffic stop on North Main Street by Bridge Street.  

Samuelson also was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned later this month.
