Frank was born September 10, 1931, at home, in Milton, N.H. Raised by both his parents and grandparents, all of whom instilled in him a deep appreciation for education. His maternal grandfather taught him to hunt and fish, a love that Frank carried throughout his entire life. He was one of three boys in a graduating class of twelve from Nute High School. He went on to graduate from N.H. Vocational College with a degree in Automotive Technology. Two months later, Frank enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly served his country, in aircraft maintenance, for 28 years, earning the highest enlisted rank of CMSgt. He served during the Vietnam War (6/67-10/68), and was the recipient of numerous medals, accolades, and honors, including the Bronze Star.
His military career led him to call many places home. They included six states and two foreign countries, one of which was England, where he met and married his wife, Patricia. He would also continue his education graduating, Cum Laude, with a B.S in Business Management from New Hampshire College in 1971. He retired from active duty in 1979, settling in Rochester, and went on to employment with the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where he worked for 10 years until he retired fully.
Retirement allowed him travel time that included China, and a 12 day cruise down the Nile River in Egypt with his son Michael. He was an avid collector of stamps and coins and had a great appreciation of good food and Scotch. He loved nature, reading, and old western movies. Frank was a man of the highest caliber of character who gave freely of himself, asking nothing in return, and he will be greatly missed.
