ROCHESTER - Frederick R. Burrill, 82, of Sagamore Lane died Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a period of failing health.
Born Dec. 22, 1935 in Skowhegan, Maine, he was the son of the late Elmer and Egline (Dionne) Burrill.
Fred has lived in Rochester since 1967 after moving from Skowhegan. He was a graduate of Skowhegan High School class of 1953. He served in the Air Force and then served in the reserves. He worked at Red's Shoe Barn in shipping and receiving until his retirement.
Fred was an active man, enjoying swimming in Dover and Milton Three Ponds, and walking on Ogunquit Beach with his wife Clara.
Fred was a great husband, father and son taking care of his mother for many years until her passing.
The family would like to thank all the staff Fresenius Kidney Care in Rochester for the care they provided in the last years of his life.
Members of his family include his wife, Clara (Cookson) Burrill of Rochester, his daughter Dori Grenier and her husband Kenneth of Rochester, many cousins. He is predeceased by his twin brother.
