LIMERICK, Maine - Frank McDaniel can play a guitar like Johnny B Good and belt out a tune like Bob Seeger.

And like any typical Friday night he was doing both for his legion of fans.

Only this was something different for McDaniel, cause instead of cheering fans, he stood in his dining room with his wife working the "stage lights" and literally rocked his house with an hour and a half concert on Facebook live.

"Welcome to my dining room," he said to start the concert. "I'm going cuckoo for cocoa puffs, cause I can't play gigs so here goes."

Folks who follow the Rochester, N.H., music scene have seen McDaniel recently perform with his band Badtude at the Rochester Performance and Arts Center and also at China Palace where he runs the karaoke on Sundays.

Since there is a ban on dine-in eating and drinking at bars and restaurants and no groups of more than 10, McDaniel has had no stage for several weeks.

After encouragement from fans, McDaniel said he decided to give the Facebook live venue a whirl.

What fans got was a live concert with great covers of groups from Led Zeppelin to Lynyrd Skynyrd. So far more than 500 fans have viewed it.

Other members of Badtude include Adam Horr and Brian Lassonde.

And when it was all over, McDaniel gave his fans one more piece of positive news.

"We might do this again," he said.
