ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Gaynell (Gay) Ann Dukes, 86, died on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, in Zephyrhills, Fla., after a long illness.
Gay was born to father, E. Leo Royer and mother, Ester A. Houle-Buczek of Rochester, N.H. Gay was one of six children, three sisters and two brothers. Gay is survived by one sister, Paula Hightower, and one brother, Theodore Buczek both of New Hampshire. Those who passed before her were sisters, Shirley Welch, New Hampshire, Norma Lawler, California, and brother, David L. Royer, Florida.
Gay married Thomas Dukes on April 4, 1964. Together they had three children: Robin Ellis, New York, Guy Dukes, Idaho and Amy Brown, Texas. Gay and Tom have five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
After retirement from Davidson Rubber in New Hampshire, Gay enjoyed traveling to different countries. She loved gardening and always remembered friends/relatives with cards on special occasions. She was a very generous, kind, loving mother, wife and friend.
