ROCHESTER - Gerard B. Bernier, 90, of Autumn Street in Rochester died Thursday June 29, 2023, at the Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by family and friends.

Born Sept. 18, 1932, in Rochester to Fernand and Lillian (Landry) Bernier.

Gerard has lived in Rochester most of his life after moving from Dover. He worked at International Shoe repairing machines and later doing sales. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 184 and The American Legion Post 7. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing for hornpout, loved the Yankees and very much enjoyed rides to the beach with his wife of 34 years Betty (Krupski) Bernier of Rochester.

Family includes his children; Kevin Bernier and his longtime fiancé Debra Alex of Rollinsford, Karen Michel and her husband Jack of Rochester, his grandchildren; Kendra Fazekas and her husband Ervin and Corey Michel and his wife Samantha; a great grandchild, Asa Michel; his brothers Richard Bernier of Somersworth and Kenneth Bernier and his wife Nancy of Minnesota.
