ROCHESTER - Gerard E. "Jerry," St. Laurent, 93, formerly of Dover, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Born on July 7, 1929, in Dover, Jerry was the son of Wilfred and Albea (Carrier) St. Laurent.

Jerry graduated from Dover High School and then went on to honorably serve his country in the Army. He married his beloved wife Anita on May 8 1954. Jerry worked at Goss, Inc in Dover for over 34 years.

Jerry always had a smile on his face and he was always busy. He could often be found out in the yard on his tractor, tending to his flower and vegetable gardens or in his workshop making furniture. Most importantly, Jerry valued time with his family. He loved to dance, and he and Anita spent many Saturday nights at the Rockingham Ballroom in their early years. As recently as Ashley's wedding in July, he was always the last one on the dance floor. He also enjoyed golf, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and following the Red Sox and Patriots.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Anita (Viola) St. Laurent.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kimberly Janson (Steve) of Williston, Vt., Michael St. Laurent (Diane) of Rochester and Matthew St. Laurent (Paula) of Greenville, Maine; grandchildren, Ryan Dennett (Michael), Christopher St. Laurent (Autumn), Ryan Janson, Michael Fahey (Maddie) and Ashley Sullivan (John); and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Armenia Bolduc of Rochester Hills, Mich. and several nieces and nephews.
