MILTON - Glenn Michael Scott, 65 of Milton died at home April 19, 2021 after a prolonged illness with his wife at his side. He was born on April 20, 1955 in Dover. He was predeceased by his parents, Flora M. Scott, William A. Scott Sr. and Salvatore (Sam) Bonanno.
Glenn grew up in Somersworth and graduated from Somersworth High School in 1973. From an early age he was involved in the family business at Star Lumber Co. He went on to attend UNH where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business and Wood Products. After graduation he spent time in California furthering his experience in the lumber trade and upon return to NH he took over the family business.
He was active as a youth in Scouting and as an adult he became a leader of Troop 195. He was always generous and supportive with local organizations. He was most proud of his son Matthew earning the Eagle Award and of his daughter Jessie earning the Gold Star Award, both in Scouting.
He was an avid follower of New England Sports Teams. He enjoyed NASCAR and attended the Daytona 500 twice. His other interests were boating, remote control airplanes and electric trains. He loved gathering at the lake with family and friends.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 27 years Joanne (McLaughlin) Scott; son Matthew Jordan and wife Courtney; daughter Jessalyn Beckner and husband Jeremy; three grandchildren Parker Simms, Harper Jordan and Ellie Beckner. He is also survived by three siblings, William Scott Jr., Dean Scott, and Kathleen Scott, as well as many nieces and nephews.
