CONCORD - Recently, Governor Ayotte signed into law House Bill 1078, expanding the State's Gold Star License Plate Program to include Gold Star Fathers and other immediate family members. The program previously applied only to Gold Star Mothers.

The Governor was joined by more than a dozen New Hampshire Gold Star Families, along with legislators, state leaders, and military and veteran services groups, to honor Granite Staters who have died defending our nation.

"I'm proud to sign HB 1078 to honor the families of America's fallen heroes and expand the Gold Star license plate program to include all immediate family members," said Governor Ayotte. "This is a commitment to our Gold Star Families that New Hampshire will never forget their loved ones' service and sacrifice. May God continue to bless these families."

License plates will be available to Gold Star Fathers and other immediate family members starting Jan. 1 and may be requested through the Office of the Commissioner at the New Hampshire Department of Safety.
