Gonic man arrested in sex assault of two minors, faces November arraignment

ROCHESTER - A Gonic man was arrested on Tuesday on a variety of sexual assault charges involving underage victims.

Shane Franceschini, 31, of 30 D'Amours Ave., turned himself into police after learning that an arrest warrant had been issued on Monday. He stands charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault of a victim under 13, three counts of felonious sexual assault with contact of a victim under 13 and indecent exposure/sex act on a child under 16.

Franceschini surrendered at the Rochester Police Station lobby around 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday

Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas today said sex crimes detectives began an investigation into the alleged incidents involving two possible victims on Oct 2.

Franceschini was released on personal recognizance with GPS monitoring. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on Nov. 15 in Strafford County Superior Court.
