Gonic man injured as pickup trucks collide

GONIC - A Rochester man was injured on Monday when his and another pickup collided on Gonic Road.

The crash occurred around 5:45 in the area of The Black Dog Carwash

Police say Mark Lynes, 57, of Gonic, was traveling south on Gonic Road in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado when when a 2006 Silverado traveling north driven by Justin Clothier, 16, of Madbury made a left turn to pull in to the carwash.

Both vehicles suffered extensive front end damage and were towed from the scene.

Lynes was transported to Frisbie Hospital by for what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

Clothier was cited at the scene for failure of traffic turning left to yield.
