Grace Helen Herlihy ... former obstetrics nurse

ROCHESTER - Grace Helen Herlihy, 88, formerly of Rochester, N.H., passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at her residence in the Charlestown Retirement Community, Catonsville, Md.

She was born on July 23, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts to Frank and Helen Lord and was the oldest of six children. She was a registered nurse who loved working in obstetrics and delivery of new babies and traveled with her husband and family to various military posts in Europe and the United States.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lt. Col (Ret.) Francis P. Herlihy and 4 of her children; Michael Herlihy and his wife Anne Darr, Timothy Herlihy and his wife Carol, Kathryn Hutchinson, Patrick Herlihy, her 6 grandchildren, Christopher Hutchinson, Clare Herlihy Dych and her husband Timothy Dych, Suzanne Herlihy, Matthew Herlihy, Bryan Herlihy, and Juliane Herlihy; and her two siblings, Charles Lord and Claire Schaffer.
