Habitual offender nabbed for DUI, reckless driving after stop sticks deployed

LOUDON - A Concord man is facing a Monday arraignment after leading police on a chase that only ended after stop stick were deployed to disable his vehicle in Allenstown.

State Police got involved when troopers were assisting Loudon Police after Shawn Sullivan, 37, attempted to elude police in a vehicle reportedly stolen out of Concord.

Trooper Kyle Cotnoir located the vehicle around 10 p.m. as it was getting onto Route 28 South from Bear Hill Road. The vehicle failed to stop and attempted to elude Cotnoir as it traveled south on Route 28. Other aw enforcement agencies were contacted and were able to assist in deploying stop sticks to disable the vehicle on Route 28 in Allenstown.

Sullivan was taken into custody but appeared to be impaired by some sort of drug and was transported to Concord hospital for medical evaluation. After receiving care, he was medically discharged from the hospital and was transported to the Merrimack County Jail after refusing bail.

He was charged with several offenses to include, disobeying a police officer, reckless driving, operating as a Habitual Offender and aggravated DUI.

Sullivan also had a warrant for his arrest out of the Merrimack County Sherriff's office. He is being held at Merrimack County Jail pending his arraignment.

Agencies involved in the arrest include State Police, Loudon Police, Allenstown Police, Pembroke Police, Epsom Police, Chichester Police, Pittsfield Police, Canterbury Police, Concord Police and the Merrimack County Sherriff's Office.
