LEBANON, Maine - The world lost a beautiful soul last Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Harold E. Cole, II, better known as Harley Cole, had been struggling with seizures after a head injury in 2009 and a broken heart ever since his Dad, Harold Cole, passed away in 2013.
Born on May 28th, 1985 in Sanford, ME Harley was a joyful presence to almost everyone he met since the day he was born. Harley kept himself, his family and friends entertained with his many interests!

Always putting his own creative spin on everything he did, he lived life to the fullest! His first love was drawing comics and illustrations. Then he combined that with his gift for creative writing. He actually wrote a book set in the Renaissance Era! He also penned many poems and song lyrics.

Harley loved music and tried his hand at many different musical instruments, until he discovered his voice was his best instrument. He was an amazing free-style singer until he damaged his vocal cords, while in the hospital for his head injury. After that he turned his interest to creating art using many different mediums from wood, clay, stone, metal to almost any recycled material! He came up with some great creations!
He was never afraid of what people thought of him, creating some pretty interesting hair style and clothing choices!

Harley had a smile that was contagious no matter what your mood. But he also supported and encouraged others to be themselves too...as many of his friends have told me over the last few days, how he has positively impacted their lives in so many ways.
He left so many behind that loved him and are going to miss him every day; he had a pretty large extended family and so many friends!

His immediate family Mom Corinna Cole, sister Jenna Cole, special family friend Ray Lamontagne, who treated him like a son and of course his beloved cat Chico...Know he will be at peace with his Dad and some really great friends that passed before him and no doubt are enjoying his presence.

ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers, we would like to request potted plants, as that is what Harley always gave on special occasions and it would give us an opportunity to have it in remembrance of him beyond that day. Or if you prefer, a monetary donation to the Lebanon Fire Corporation in Harley's name would also be very appreciated, as the Fire-EMS members were there for him at some of the worst times, were so professional and always went above and beyond what was expected of them every time!
If you would like to join us for a Celebration of Harley's life we will be gathering next Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at 93 Upper Middle Road in Lebanon, Maine. Please bring a camp chair if you have one, we will be having a pot-luck dinner if you would like to bring a dish. Hope to have some great music and a bonfire. Hot Rods and Motorcycles are encouraged if you have one! If you have something orange to wear it was Harley's favorite color and face paint is more than welcome...whoop, whoop! Feel free to bring your beverage of choice and there will be a designated smoking area. All are welcome! We want to make this a joyful and happy occasion for everyone, so let it be known hard drugs and excessive drinking will not be tolerated. I hope to see a lot of family and friends on this day to celebrate Harley's wonderful being!
