ROCHESTER - The Rochester City Council will conduct a public hearing Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on a resolution authorizing an appropriation to the general fund unassigned fund balance in the amount of $7.35 million in connections with the water-sewer fund deficit.

The hearing will take citizen input on the question of whether to appropriate the money for the purpose of paying costs associated with relief of the Water-Sewer Funds deficits.

Copies of the proposed resolutions are available in the City Clerk's Office.

Citizens will be allowed to ask questions of the City Council at the hearing and be answered by councilors or city officials, according to a release from the city.

Persons with disabilities requesting accommodations should contact the City Clerk's Office (tel. 332-2130) on or before May 12, 2026, in order to make arrangements.
