High School hoops coach accused of transporting minor to N.H. for sex

CONCORD - A former Massachusetts school employee is accused of transporting a former student to New Hampshire to engage in unlawful sexual conduct.
Jesus Moore, 35, of Lawrence, Mass., was charged with one count of transportation to engage in unlawful sexual conduct. Moore, the former coach of Lawrence High's boys basketball team, surrendered and appeared in federal court on Monday. He was released on personal recognizance.
According to court documents and statements made in court, on or about March 7, 2022, Moore transported a former student at the school, who at the time, was under 18. The former student was transported across state lines to engage in unlawful sexual conduct, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorneys Office sent out on Monday.
The Department of Homeland Security, the Lawrence Police Department, and the Manchester Police Department led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Anna Krasinski is prosecuting the case.
An indictment is merely an allegation and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
