SOMERSWORTH - Hiram E. Todd Connell of Somersworth died peacefully at home with his wife, Helen A. Connell, at his side on March 21, 2021.

He is survived by his five children: Deborah Lee Billian of Hampton, Stephen Charles Connell of East Derry, Linda Jean Hosmer of Epping, Hiram Todd Connell of Hampton, John Douglas Connell of Bay Shore, N.Y., their mother, Diana P. Connell of Hampton, his half brother, Norman Connell of St. Leonard, Md., and two Brittanys, Tenzing and Nuptse.
Hiram was born in Manchester, went to North Andover High School in Massachusetts, and received a BS in Physics and Math at Lowell Technological Institute (Currently UMASS Lowell). He worked for 25 years at the THE MITRE Corp, Bedford, Mass, and also worked at Philco Ford, RCA Service Company Missile Test Project and at Raytheon.
His hobbies were mountain and rock climbing with the AMC, sailing and traveling as described in his book Travels With Yeti, and partaking in politics. Working with other locals, he established "The Democracy Factory" to support all democratic candidates.
