International Firefighters' Day will be observed on Tuesday, and the National Firefighters Foundations is urging folks to support their hometown firefighting heroes by changing the light on their front porch from white to red.

Anyone who chooses is then asked to take a photo and share on social media with the hashtag #Shine4Firefighters.

If residents need "red" light bulbs, they are asked to support the NFFF and buy online using the foundation's Amazon Associates link at https://amzn.to/2XWm5oE.

Meanwhile, creative kids and adults who want to let their firefighters know they are grateful for everything they do can email a photo of their artwork to photos@firehero.org and share on social media with the hashtag #WeThankFFs.

The NFFF will share the works of art on its website and social media on Tuesday.
