Investigation into fatal fire in Boscawen continues

BOSCAWEN - The victim of a fatal fire in Boscawen on Monday has been identified.

Ronald A. Fowler, 66, of Boscawen died from smoke inhalation, and the manner of death is pending, according to a statement from the Medical Examiners Office.

The fire broke out around 6:40 p.m. on Monday drawing members of the Boscawen Fire Department to 14 Gage Street. First responders who arrived at the scene searched the home and found an adult male in a bedroom on the second floor.

The man was taken out of the home through a window and lifesaving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful.the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation into the cause and origin of the fire is ongoing, safety official say.
