DOVER - The Rochester man accused of torching four vehicles in Lebanon, Maine, earlier this month remains on no bail at the Strafford County House of Corrections today.
Jayce Racicot, 27, of Rochester, was arrested by Rochester Police on Friday on a fugitive from justice.
He is now awaiting extradition to Maine sometime in May, according to Maine Dept. of Pubic Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
The incident unfolded on April 6 when the Lebanon Fire Department was dispatched around 2 p.m. to a wooded lot at 158 Upper Barley Road where they found four vehicles that had been destroyed by fire.
The property where the fires occurred is owned by Racicot's grandfather, according to a Maine Dept. of Public Safety press release sent on Tuesday. He owned three of the four vehicles that were destroyed.
Moss said the value placed on the four vehicles was around $20,000.
She added that no further details regarding the investigation can be released since it remains active and ongoing.
