It's a pig in a poke, but a pig nonetheless

To the editor:

Rochester Taxpayers, your mouse trap has been set.

You've been intentionally scammed into partnering with the unelected faction of Pied Pipers that openly identify themselves as "The City of Rochester."

This was made clear when they wrote: they, (the City of Rochester,) want the City Council to vote on approving the renovation and Tax Relief, for a long-term vacant building on North Main Street.

I always regarded the City Council to be representatives of the electorate, and therefore, are the legitimate managers of City of Rochester.

The council has obviously made it clear these unelected freelancing drifters, can roll out the big rubber stamp of approval anytime, on their "big asks."

I'll say it again, the City Council has abdicated their legitimate function, and continue to empower these unelected pack rats.

Speaking of pac rats, you can bet your "Bippie," there are many more of these Rubbish Containment Mansions, spread around the city, awaiting the gleam in someone's profiteering eye.

If you don't want to believe it, check out the new batch of plywood that's been cropping up around downtown.

When you park at the City Hall, look at that six foot fence that keeps the trash bins out of site.

Look behind that beautiful fence that backs up to another fence. Look how this area, conveniently runs up to the back of tenement houses.

The city uses every conceivable spot of land for their convenience, but there's no breathing room for the tenants.

You can build a fence around a pig, but there's still a pig inside.

The new owner of 135 Main St. said he's a resident of Rochester. So why the PO Box?

This sounds exactly like the internationally supported company that's "imbedded" itself in Rochester, promoting a "Rain Tax."

They both operate out of a PO Box.

The Phone Number of this person is a New York Area Code.

It may even be a Burner Phone.

The fact that these wayfaring city management strangers, are on "point" to these schemes, makes everything they fiddle with suspect.

This "Gem" on Main Street, was built in 1920, it's 104 years old.

(I did not use the New Math the school system uses.)

It's been vacant for 7 years.

There has been Zero Taxes paid during this period.

How long would the city have to wait to condemn this likely varmint infested dilapidated structure.

One has to wonder what stray "creatures," are inhabiting this Villa.

Many cities have plans to demolish unsightly areas like those in Rochester whose mere existence proves to be a blight on the city proper.

To the City Council members, demand - through the Mayor - to:

Identify all these properties and their ownership

Identify the property tax status

Get approval for demolition of the non-city property in court or administrative hearings.

Or, acquire the property via direct acquisition throughtax foreclosure, or "spot blight eminent domain."

Why condemn anything when you're operating the perfect front.

Speaking of spot blight, the project at 135 Main Street calls for 4 apartments.

The downstairs apartment would have 3 bedrooms.

Two of these bedrooms would be on the Main Street side.

These downstairs bedrooms will have a view of at least 8 Waste Management containers in front of the building, on the street side, with little space between the structure and the sidewalk.

Why? Due to exterior stairwells, on 2 separate buildings, there's no room on either side of the building to store these containers.

"Ooh that smell, Can't you smell that Smell?" (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Of course not. When will we taxpayers realize no one in the city has the jobs that would fund living in these extravagantly plush abodes. Tom Kaczynski pointed this out when he asked who can afford to live in places where the rents are $1,900 to $2,800 a month.

One line in the city paperwork asks:

Will the project involve affordable residential units?:

The answer was "No."

These apartments will fall under "Section 8 Housing," or worse, in under 6 months of the grand opening.

They think they can promote anything and we'll fall for it.

They aren't clueless, they are devious, they know everything about the property that they're poaching out to the taxpaying citizens of Rochester.

I hope Citizens take the time to tell the City Council to stop being pacifists. Direct their concerns to the unelected city manager, planner etc. through the Mayor.

(you'll likely need to explain this to the mayor in 3 minutes or less)

Tell them - their delusional wants and needs to make friends are not wanted by citizen taxpayers.

The city has a proven track record of suspicious financial transactions, as no one can find out to who, what, where and how money is spent.

The city conveniently backs tax write off for others - who reside somewhere else.

Gonic
