ROCHESTER - James "Jim" Robert Keegan, of Rochester, died peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017, surrounded by his family at the age of 77.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Betty; his children Jim Jr., Joe, Steve, Renee, Ryan, and Ashley; his grandchildren Jessica, Joey, Kelsey, Cole, Connor, and Kayli; his great-granddaughter, Isabelle, and his dog, Daisy.
He was preceded in death by parents John C. Keegan Sr. and Iris (Hollywood), and siblings John C. Keegan Jr., Maureen Witherow, and Francis P. Keegan.
Jim was born on May 27, 1940 and raised in Cranberry, N.J. At the age of seven, he took first communion with best friend, Angelo Trapani. His early life included truck driving for Massing & Dallenbach Contracting Corp. until he moved to Farmington in 1976, where he worked maintenance at Davidson Rubber until his retirement in 1996. During his years at Davidson Rubber he made many friends and met the love of his life. They married on June 30, 1989.
He enjoyed spending time at his camp in Clarksville with two of his grandchildren, Connor and Kayli.
