Janis A. Dow ... enjoyed sewing, knitting; at 73

ROCHESTER - Janis A. Dow, 73, of Rochester died on Thursday Sept. 22, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Waltham, Mass., Dec. 8, 1948, the daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanette (Hathaway) Thibodeau Sr.

Janis worked with various developmental services for many years.

Janis loved spending time with her family and friends. Janis loved to watch her kids and grandkids in any activity they are involved in never missing anything. She loved everyone she met. Janis loved sewing and knitting. She was a mom, aunt and friend to everyone.

Members of her family include her children, Peter Dow, Sr., Michelle Bernier and her husband Duane of Rochester and daughters-in-law Gwen Dow of Rochester and Jill Ward of Lynn, Mass.; 8 grandchildren Matthew Medina, Bobby, Peter, Christian and Aidan Dow, Dylan, Ryan and Cassidy Bernier; two great grandchildren Jackson Brock and Zayden Dow; her brother Arthur Thibodeau and his wife Denise; two sisters, Susan Morrissette and her husband Dan of Somersworth, Kathy Rebidue and her husband Richard of Lynn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Bob Dow, her fiancé Ronald Coocen and her former husband Pete Dow.
