FARMINGTON - Jean P. Pease died peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018 after an extended period of failing health. Born April 5, 1928, the daughter of Grover and Louise (Smith) Pennock she was raised in Bennington Vermont.
She attended the University of Vermont in Burlington, where she met Paul Pease, fell in love and they were married.
Over the next 20 years Jean and Paul had four children, moved from Vermont to Massachusetts, then on to Michigan, landing in Farmington in 1967. This was home and for over 50 years she was involved in her community. She was active in the Farmington Woman's Club, the Goodwin Library Association, her church and many other civic organizations. Jean and Paul operated Pease's Real Estate retiring in the late 80s.
She and Paul enjoyed retirement; travelling throughout the world, wintering in Florida, the arrival of grandchildren and most importantly family and friends.
She is survived by her son Tim, his wife June; her son Stuart; her daughter Mary Lou DePalo, her husband Jim; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, her husband Paul, in 2002 and her youngest daughter Penny, in 2017.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Sharon Roche and Jessica Ragucci for their love, care and kindness as they cared for Miss Jean in the past few years. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
