ROCHESTER - Joan Gerrish, 91, died Sept. 11, 2022, in Rochester after a brief illness. She was born in Portsmouth on Oct. 12, 1930, the daughter of Stacy and Olive (Kennedy) Caldwell. She was raised by her grandparents William and Etta Kennedy who operated Gilley's Lunch Cart for many years in Portsmouth.

She was educated at St. Patrick's School and was a 1949 graduate of Portsmouth High School.

She was employed as a secretary at M.M. Solid Waste in Lee and later worked part time at Sears in Newington.

She and her husband spent many years touring the country, first on motorcycle and later in a motorhome. They also spent many years wintering in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.

She was predeceased by her first husband Harvey Reagan, her second husband Arthur Pomerleau, third husband Raymon Gerrish and beloved daughters Cheryl Pomerleau and Suzanne Christienbury and a step-daughter Kelly Kouris.

Survivors include 2 daughters Lois Carroll of Hampton, Diane Pineo of North Hampton and her twin sister June Murray Lewis of Rochester. Stepchildren Steven Gerrish, Dwight Gerrish, Thomas Gerrish, Raymon Gerrish and Donna Chandler. She also leaves behind 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
