SOMERSWORTH - Joanne E. York, 76, died peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Riverside Rest Home. Joanne was born on January 25, 1942 in Dover, the daughter of Reynold Columbus and Florence (Rheault) Howe.
Joanne married her husband Warren F. York in 1959 and together raised four children. She enjoyed spending time with family, which was everything to her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a big heart.
She is survived by her son Richard F. York and wife Lorette of Grand Junction, Colo., daughters Christine L. Augusta and husband Peter of Rochester, Karen A. Bennett and husband Eric of Somersworth, and son Christopher W. York and wife Angela of Lebanon, Maine; two sisters Thelma Collins of Rochester, and Roberta Howe of Somersworth; one brother Leo Howe of Milton, nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Joanne is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Warren F York, and granddaughter Cle-an Drury.
