ROCHESTER - Three youngsters and a jogger were injured on Tuesday when a car veered off the road and struck a tree on Franklin Street.

The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the area of 105 Franklin St.

Kevin Bergeron, 62, of Rochester, was out running when he was clipped by the mirror of a car driven by Trish L. Farr, 28, of Somersworth, N.H., who was driving eastbound at the time of the accident, police said.

Bergeron was not injured, but the 2001 Honda Accord driven by Farr struck a tree head-on after hitting the jogger.

Three juveniles in the vehicle and Farr were all transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

Farr was cited for negligent driving with a court date next month.

The accident remains under investigation.
