MILTON - John Barca, 81, of Milton, NH, died October 14, 2025, after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his devoted family.
Born in Waltham, MA on August 19, 1944, son of John & Kathleen (Thompson) Barca, he was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1962.
John worked as an Auto Mechanic for several years, while raising his family in Waltham, MA, until he relocated his family to Milton, NH in 1978.
In New Hampshire, he continued to work as a mechanic, co-owned a construction business specializing in excavation and served as head of maintenance at his family business "The Silver Platter".
He was a longtime member of the Milton Loyal Order of Moose, where he enjoyed many afternoons with family and friends, socializing and playing meat BINGO.
John loved to travel, especially to Cancun Mexico, Florida and Italy, the home of his ancestors. John and his wife Nancy spent their winters during retirement, in Sunny Lake Park, Florida, where they would spend fun times gallivanting with relatives, days trips on their boat, antiquing, and just happily sitting on their condo deck watching the yachts sail down the intercoastal waterway.
Survived by his 3 children: Laura & husband Bruce Boudreau, David & wife Kelly Barca, Paul Barca, 4 grandchildren: Lydia & husband Cameron Miller, David Barca, Jr. & wife Melody Barca, Kara Boudreau & Brett Boudreau, 2 great grandchildren: Harrison Miller & Maeve Miller, his sister Louise Casella, also many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his teenage sweetheart and wife of 57 years Nancy Barca, brother Thomas Barca and sister Ann Kominik.
John will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 10:30am until 12Noon at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a Memorial Service to immediately follow.
