John Nelson died peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 90. He was a devoted father, grandfather, a loving husband, and a cherished friend to many.

Born in Lynn, MA, Grandpa John lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and wisdom. He dedicated 46 years to carpentry, exemplifying his commitment to honesty, generosity, hard work, and faith. His love for animals was evident to all, as he nurtured and cared for them with a gentle spirit.

A passionate woodworker, he found joy in crafting beautiful pieces that we will always treasure. Above all, his greatest love was for his family. Whether sharing stories from his past or teaching valuable life lessons, his spirit and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Nelson; son, James Nelson, and wife, Loretta; and granddaughters Kristen Ceberek, Michaela Shattuck, and Brittany Nelson, who will forever carry on his legacy.

Special thanks to the caregivers at Watson Fields nursing home for their exceptional care and compassion; he loved each of you dearly.
