ROCHESTER - Joseph A. Branca, 84, of Rochester, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at his home after a long illness. He was born September 17, 1936 in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of Fortunato and Eugenia (Pellicano) Branca.
Joseph has resided in Rochester for the past four years previously living at Sunrise Lake in Middleton. While there he renovated their small cottage to a year-round home and took great pride in his waterfront property.
He worked as an electrical engineer for most of his career and after retirement as a postal worker in Middleton. He enjoyed fishing in salt water and fresh water.
Members of his family include his loving wife of 60 years, Carol (Newhard) Branca; sons, Bill Branca of Biddeford, Maine, Joe Branca of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Jennifer MacLaughlin of New Durham and her partner Bill Lawrence ; grandchildren Natalie, Anthony, Tucker, Zackary, Manuela and two great grandchildren; one niece Barbara Laurenzi.
