ROCHESTER - Josephine Doris (Connell) (Jenness) MacIver, 91, formerly of Barrington, died peacefully with her family by her side on Dec. 8, 2021 in Rochester.

Josephine was born on April 2, 1930; in Concord, the daughter of Florence M. Connell of Sanbornville (Granit). Her heritage of the Kimballs, Connells, Zimmers family, all of Sanbornville area.

Josephine was a homemaker. She loved her family life with all her children and their friends as everyone grew up. She loved to read her Bible; she was referred to as the "Prayer Warrior", the "Road Runner" and the "General". She also held ribbons and trophies as a young person with her horse "Queene" for riding and competitions performing at UNH and Josephine was one of The Red Hats.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty K. Watson of New Durham, Sandra J. Bezanson of Hampton Falls; her sons, Burton Lindley MacIver of Barrington, Robert F. MacIver of Rochester, Mark D. MacIver of Strafford, Daniel T. MacIver of Barrington; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Eleanor MacIver and brother-in-law, Kenneth MacIver, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Burton A. McIver, a son John A. MacIver, and her sister, Phyllis Smith of Dover.

Gratitude is extended to the Rochester VNA who helped in the care. The Blind Association - Library of Congress Concord Office making sure she had plenty of books to listen to.

ARRANGEMENTS: At this time there will be no services, however there will a graveside service in the Spring of 2022, at the convenience of the family.
